log and control any actions of user in system.
- Can I connect computers that aren't on
the same network together over the Internet?
-
Yes. With Professional Edition you will be able to connect server over the Internet and work with your database from any place in the world. But you need to assign the static IP
address to your main computer and open 211 port in the firewall. Then when you run OK-Client on remote computer just enter the IP address of your server
to field "server" on login form.
- Problems with OK-Client connection to the server
-
If an error occurs when OK-Client is trying to connect to a OK-Server, it is usually due to the fact that something is blocking the network queries.
The first thing you could do is to disable Windows firewall. Some anti-virus software and other firewalls may also block network queries,
in this case they have to be disabled or set up the way they allow for the connection between OK-Client and OK-Server components of the program.
If OK-Client connects to the server via the Internet, you will need to open port 211 on a server side.
